Preparation for the procedure:
Surgical consultation with a detailed discussion of the treatment plan
Laboratory tests
Discontinuation of anticoagulants at least 14 days prior to the procedure (after consultation)
Avoid alcohol and smoking for at least 14 days before surgery.
Stabilization of body weight for at least 6 months prior to the planned procedure
The course of the procedure
A body lift is performed under general anesthesia and usually takes 4–6 hours.
The procedure involves removing excess skin and fat from the abdomen, hips, back, buttocks, and thighs.
The scars are made so that they can be hidden under underwear.
During the operation, abdominal muscle reconstruction is also performed if necessary.
The patient remains in the clinic for 1–2 days after the procedure.
Recovery and post-treatment recommendations:
Wearing special compression garments for a minimum of 6–8 weeks
Restriction of physical activity for 6 weeks
Avoid lifting heavy objects and sudden movements.
Swelling and bruising gradually subside within a few weeks.
Complete healing of scars and final results visible after approximately 6–12 months
Follow-up visits: after 1, 3, 6, and 12 months
Possible complications and risks:
Hematoma, bleeding
Infection
Hypertrophy or discoloration of scars
Serous effusion (fluid accumulation under the skin)
Sensory disturbances in operated areas
Asymmetry or unsatisfactory aesthetic effect
