Liposuction and Waist Contouring
- No waist despite hormone therapy
- Massive, simple column-like silhouette

- Complementary treatment after lipofilling, FFS, or other feminizing procedures
- Significant overweight or obesity (BMI > 30 – requires individual assessment)
- Cardiovascular diseases, uncontrolled diabetes
- Blood clotting disorders
- Active infection, skin inflammation
- Lack of skin elasticity (risk of folds, lack of skin retraction)
Preparation for the procedure:
Surgical consultation and anesthesiological qualification
Research
Discontinuation of anticoagulants, aspirin, and supplements 7 days prior to the procedure
On the day of the procedure: no makeup, lotions, clean skin
Do not smoke cigarettes for at least 2 weeks before and after the procedure.
Recommended weight stabilization for at least 3 months prior to the planned procedure
The course of the procedure
The procedure is performed under general anesthesia by a plastic surgery specialist.
The incisions are made in natural skin creases – in front of and behind the ear, sometimes with an additional incision under the chin (in cases of advanced neck sagging).
The SMAS (superficial musculoaponeurotic system) layer is precisely tightened and lifted.
Excess skin is removed and the incision lines are closed with great care to ensure aesthetic scarring.
The whole process usually takes about 2–3 hours.
The patient remains under the care of the clinic – usually 1 day of hospitalization.
Recovery and post-treatment recommendations:
Pain, tenderness, and swelling are possible during the first 5–7 days.
Wearing special compression garments for a minimum of 6 weeks – available at the clinic, individually selected
Avoid strenuous physical activity for 4 weeks
Return to office work after approximately 5–7 days
Initial results visible after approx. 3 weeks, final results after 3–6 months
Follow-up visits: after 7 days, 1 month, and 3 months
Possible complications and risks:
Hematoma or bleeding requiring drainage
Infection requiring antibiotic therapy
Transient or rarely persistent sensory disturbances in the face or auricle
Hypertrophic or discolored scars – minimized thanks to precise suturing techniques
Asymmetry requiring correction
Prolonged swelling or bruising
Unsatisfactory aesthetic result requiring possible reoperation
Frequently asked questions
No. Waist liposuction is a universal procedure, but we adapt the modeling method and scope of the procedure to the needs of transgender patients.
Discomfort comparable to severe muscle soreness – especially for 2–3 days after the procedure. Painkillers effectively control it.
Yes, as long as the patient does not gain a significant amount of weight. Fat cells removed during the procedure do not regenerate.
We recommend a minimum of 4 weeks' break from intense exercise and 6 weeks without training involving the abdominal and back areas.
Micro-incisions (approx. 3–4 mm) are made in hidden areas – they usually become invisible after a few months.
Yes – for example, with lipofilling, breast augmentation, abdominoplasty, or body lift. It all depends on the scope of the surgery and your overall health.
Usually not. In cases of significant asymmetry or when a greater effect is desired, it is possible to repeat liposuction after approximately 6–12 months.
This is not a prerequisite for the procedure, but we recommend stable hormone therapy as part of a more complete feminization of the figure.
For many people, yes. Improved body proportions, greater consistency with gender identity, and psychological comfort are common side effects of these types of procedures.
Minimum 6 weeks – selected individually by us and measured at the clinic.
