Laboratory tests
Discontinuation of anticoagulants at least 14 days prior to surgery (after consulting a physician)
Avoid alcohol and smoking for at least 14 days before the procedure – for better healing.
Thorough facial skin hygiene on the day of the procedure (no makeup, creams, lotions)
The course of the procedure
The procedure is performed under local or general anesthesia (depending on the scope).
It involves making appropriate incisions and shaping the nipple and/or areola – e.g., reducing its diameter, reducing protrusion, or correcting asymmetry.
In the case of transgender individuals, it is possible to remove part of the hair follicles and adjust the shape of the areola to a more "feminine" or "masculine" appearance.
The procedure takes approximately 30–60 minutes and is performed on an outpatient basis—the patient returns home the same day.
Recovery and post-treatment recommendations:
Minor bruising and swelling may occur for a few days.
Sutures are usually removed after 7–14 days.
Dressings should be changed as recommended by your doctor.

Protect scars from the sun for at least 6 months.
Mandatory follow-up visits: approximately 1 month after the procedure, then after 3, 6, and 12 months
Possible complications and risks:
