Fleur de lis Tummy Tuck

Fleur-de-Lis abdominoplasty is an advanced surgical procedure designed for patients with excessive loose skin and tissue following significant weight loss. The procedure differs from classic abdominoplasty in that, in addition to a horizontal incision in the lower abdomen, a vertical incision is also made in the midline, allowing excess skin to be removed both vertically and horizontally.

Abdominoplasty

Procedure:

The operation is performed under general anesthesia and usually lasts 3–4 hours. The surgeon makes a horizontal incision in the lower abdomen and an additional vertical incision from the sternum to the pubic symphysis. Excess skin is removed in both directions, the rectus abdominis muscles are sutured, and the navel is moved to its anatomical position. Drains and a pressure dressing are applied. The hospital stay is usually 1 night.

Effects of the treatment

The procedure results in an aesthetic, tight, and flat abdomen. The waistline becomes more pronounced and the muscle separation is closed. The effect is permanent, provided that the patient maintains a stable weight and does not plan another pregnancy. The scar is low—below the underwear line—and becomes thin and light over time.
