Removal of Implants

The decision to remove breast implants is often dictated by health considerations, personal preferences, or lifestyle changes. The procedure itself involves the safe removal of the implants and, if necessary, the removal of any fibrous capsules that may have formed around them. In some cases, a breast lift is performed at the same time to improve the natural appearance of the breasts after the implants have been removed.

Breast implant removal

Breast implant removal is a surgical procedure involving the extraction of previously placed breast implants. It can be performed as a standalone procedure (implant removal only), in combination with a breast lift (mastopexy), or with lipofilling (fat grafting to partially restore volume). The goal is to restore a natural appearance and ensure the patient’s comfort after deciding to discontinue implants.

Effects of the treatment

The result is the removal of implants and a more natural appearance of the breasts. In the case of mastopexy, the shape of the breasts is improved and they are lifted. Lipofilling allows the lost volume to be partially compensated for with the patient's own fat tissue. The final result depends on the elasticity of the skin and anatomical conditions – it is always discussed individually during the consultation.
