Nose Reshaping

An orthopedic consultation is a key step in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders. Our specialists analyze patients' symptoms, assess their health, and propose individually tailored treatment methods that will help restore their mobility and comfort of life.

Nose Reshaping

Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure aimed at changing the shape of the nose – improving its proportions, respiratory function, and overall facial harmony. At Luna Clinic, we offer both full bone and cartilage correction under general anesthesia and less invasive modifications (e.g., of the tip of the nose) under local anesthesia. The procedure allows for the correction of a hump, length, width, asymmetry, or drooping of the tip of the nose.

Effects of the treatment

The goal is to achieve a natural-looking nose that matches the individual proportions of the face. The effect is permanent and not only improves aesthetics but also, if necessary, respiratory function. The result depends on the quality of the tissues and proper healing.

The course of the procedure

The procedure usually takes 1.5–3 hours and is performed under general anesthesia.

The surgeon makes precise incisions (open technique with a small scar on the columella or closed technique), shapes the cartilage and bones of the nose, removes the hump, or corrects the septum.

The final shape of the nose is individually tailored to the proportions of the patient's face.

Excess skin is removed and the incision lines are closed with great care to ensure aesthetic scarring.

After the operation, a thermoplastic splint and delicate dressings are placed inside the nose.

The stay at the clinic usually lasts 24 hours.

Recovery and post-treatment recommendations:

Nose splint for approx. 7–10 days

Possible bruising and swelling around the eyes – gradually subsides within 2–3 weeks

Avoid strenuous physical activity for at least 4–6 weeks.

No sunbathing or solarium use for at least 6 months – use high UV filters

Check-ups: after 1, 3, 6, and 12 months

The full effect is visible after approx. 6–12 months, when the deep swelling subsides.

Possible complications and risks:

Hematoma, postoperative bleeding

Infection

Swelling that persists for several weeks or months

Nasal asymmetry or unsatisfactory aesthetic effect

Scar on the columella (in open technique) – usually thin and barely visible

Persistent sensory disturbances in the skin of the nose

The need for reoperation
